I am Kanaka Maoli, Japanese American, and Hapa Haole, a mixture of Hawaiian and European.

My family has lived most of our lives disconnected from our histories, landscapes, languages, social relations, ways of thinking, feeling, and interacting.

My journey back to home has only just begun, and I am determined to learn more about my genealogy and all the ways colonization has affected my family.

I am determined to assemble, remember, and storytell our heritage back into existence.
