About

I am māhū, a lesbian / trans / non-binary person of Hawaiian, Japanese, and Scottish ancestry.

Both my gender and ethnic identities are dynamic.

I’m often called ‘tita’ or ‘moke’ by friends, perpetuating a super masculine, sometimes toxic, image of myself, when in reality I’m just a quiet, introverted person who feels comfortable dressing in a masculine way.

I aspire to be part of the movement to preserve māhū culture, because that is also preserving Hawaiian culture.
