My community has always been supportive of me, even when they didn’t fully understand who I was or how I navigate this world.

Most customary practices in Maori culture operate within the binary. So, as a fluid person, it is difficult to find spaces that hold me as a whole person.

I am constantly learning and unlearning about who I am.
